PRODROME MOVIE POSTER
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Prodrome means the first symptoms of a major upcoming disease and it describes this movie perfectly. I wanted to make a film that puts you in the middle of a nightmare without handing you a map. You’re supposed to feel disoriented, like the ground keeps shifting beneath you, because that’s what the character’s going through.
A lot of the inspiration came from seeing a friend go through a similar struggle. It’s about showing the violent internal conflicts that people go through every day and are still forced to go about their lives wearing a facade. I come from a background in Tik Tok skits and live streams that get millions of views monthly. I brought that mentality from online content to this movie and made sure that EVERY SECOND COUNTS! - Director Jason Snow

First-Time Filmmaker Tattoos Forehead With Movie Title to Promote New Horror Short
Las Vegas, NV, June 13, 2025 — First time filmmaker, Jason Snow just raised the stakes for other directors—by tattooing the title of his new horror short Prodrome onto his own face.
Snow, a rising creator with over 100,000 followers and 30 million monthly views across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube, unveiled the forehead tattoo as part of a stunt to promote the release of his unsettling short film Prodrome. The film follows Tom, a man caught in a violent home invasion that spirals into a twisted, shifting nightmare—where nothing is what it seems and survival means unlearning reality itself.
“Prodrome is an insane horror movie,” Snow said. “It’s about not knowing what’s real, even in your own home. I wanted to do something that blurred that line in real life too—something permanent, disruptive, and a little bit crazy. This movie literally got under my skin.”
The stunt isn’t just shock value. It reflects the film’s core theme: don’t trust your eyes. The tattoo, which simply reads PRODROME in stark lettering, echoes the visual motifs and the tattoos of the main character. .
Snow isn’t new to high-impact visuals. Before making films, he cut his teeth online as a creator and livestreamer, where he mastered how to hook an audience fast and keep them watching. He’s since gone on to work in commercial projects for brands like Uber, Delta, Discovery Channel, and Caesars Entertainment—but Prodrome marks his return to raw, independent storytelling.
Visually sharp, gritty, and full of tension, Prodrome leans into the aesthetics of films like Enter the Void and Hereditary, but with a guerrilla energy and modern voice. The face tattoo may seem extreme, but for Snow, it’s just part of the message: this is a filmmaker willing to mark himself for his work.
